Has Suzuki worked out the problems with their reverse gear on this wheeler?

Yes, they actually fixed it in the later 2005's I forget the vin# of the cutoff but I know it's floating around on Highlifters site. I got the old reverse gear but so far so good, I've read that the old reverse has a 5 year warranty from Suzuki.

I have to say that this machine is very impressive. It almost makes me want to switch to an automatic. Maybe next spring and Mrs Fourplay can Inherit the Vinson.

I keep reading about an off idle "delay" or "hesitation" in the throttle. I think this would be a real annoyance to me especially when riding slow tight trails. I have also read tha a Power Commander module will take care of that problem but why should you have to spend another $300. Is this hesitation for real?

There is a stutter, but if your riding slow ya don't really notice it, it's only if you give er a bunch of gas. I beleive it's there to keep the machine from flipping if you hammer the throttle. Like I say if you're going slow it does'nt do it, it's only if you hammer the throttle and at least from my reading the power commander will not solve the problem, supposedly some people are working on a mod to fix the hesitation. So basically they need to remap the ECM to take out the factory settings, which seems to be more difficult because of the EFI. Hope this answered your ?. I have'nt been riding lately because I live where there are no trails, I need to move up by ya'll so I can hit those state parks and rip up the wetlands and create new trails! :lolol:
