Have you noticed a lag or hesitation when you hit the throttle hard?

Steering jerks....I'd have to wear my wrist bands LOL

Water spraying........You vould probably build a dam of sorts to keep spry from entering the CVT intake

Have'nt had any of those issues. I have heard some complain about the steering, but the other one I have never heard of.

1 Steering

Yes i hit a rut  perpendicualar  [90 degree angle]fairly fast[with left wheel]  i really had to twist hard to kept wheels straight again  -i.e.  becuase of this i tend to keep a tight grip on handle bars on King, and this can be tireing?

2 spray  well i drove thru water like my Kodiak  i had no troubles

3  lag  Yes some low end lag  not enough to bother me-but-if a power module comes out that is good all around  [including reducing lag]  i might buy it!The strong mid range to  top end improvement over my Kodiak is nice - at 45 mph  shes still got some guts  i really like the 700 single  its like my Kodiak- only more

And  my Kodiak is noisey when crusing gravel road/trail at steady speed  King is quieter

If a module comes out I will for sure get it. I read on Highlifter that someone installed a stabilizer bar from another quad and it helped the steering.

Ya that will make for a long day riding. A stabilizer would help. Radial tires might also help some. Would think Suzuki would make a stabilizer. Actually should have been done before they Kings were released. They must be kinda like Bill Gates. Sell it now and patch it later.......

i found a forum article on using a generic stabiliz er[racing type] with 5 way adjustment  setting sound like it just takes slight modification

Yes  radials  are the way to go on a lite steering Quad like the King Quad  i do believe

That sounds like the way to go, a stabilizer and a set of radials

Well Roosterado, you have some decent seat time on the King. What are your honest opinions?

Put 120 miles on this weekend  alot of forest road  and some trail  I am very happy with the King Quad  for the price i should be.  Steering stabilizer  would be nice. I rode this weekend with my buddy on his 500 Vicent  we got the exact same gas mileage  i varied my forest road speed[i alot faster then him] then let him catch up . On some pretty good side hill ditch riding  king does fine    but better tires would also be nice  i had it up to 70mph on gravel road according to speedo  -also had it up to 68 mph  up hill on gravel road

Put another 80 miles on this weekend, I had her doing 72 according to the speedo and then it would cut out, so I'm assuming that it is governed not to exceed that speed! Got myself a new winch accessory kit and already got to use it, when we arrived at the cabin the top half of one of the Oak trees had broke and was hanging down blocking the loop in the driveway. Me the King and a chainsaw took care of that!!:ban: On a bad note, I broke my side mirror on the truck backing the boat up. Apparently the other Oaks were angry for cutting up one of there own!!:lolol:

They are really rooling out the aftermarket  products  for this quad. the racing guys have custom  axels,  tie rods and end.  Also  Custom bumpers  -Smoe alum  skid plates for aftermarket  -just depends on how much ya wanna spend

I had the opportunity to ride a King Quad for several miles and it seems to have decent power and the ride and handling were good. i didn't really get to put it through the paces but it seemed like a nice bike. Thanks for the ride Roosterado

I read on High Lifter that Velocity Devices Inc. will probably be making a new ecm or something to take the lag and who knows what else out of the King. Hopefully they get rid of the limiter on the 72 miles an hour, I hate having something or someone telling me what I can do and not do!

i could only get 70 [by speedo]out of mine  yesterday with new tires  and thats OK  by me

crusies nice at 40-45 on gravel roads

just want to update on my impression of handling  after 500 miles  i feel the steering is light and responsive. The "jerking handle bars  to stops  has only happened during  real aggressive riding, now  if  i continued to ride very aggressively  i would consider adding steering stabilizer

After you ride it awhile I bet you see what she has.:) It's not that 72 is'nt fast enough it's the fact that they limited me at that speed. I'm used to going fast with my sled, so it's different that's all. I only went that fast on a gravel road that is part of the trail, the area is called the barrons, there is'nt a tree around and it's a couple miles to the other side so you can see everywhere.:aniwh:

I was just reading over at high Lifter and supposedly a company called yoshimura is making a new ecm that will eliminate the low end lag and hopefully the reverse override crap. I think they are supposed to have it out early next year.:clp::clp::thumb2:

well i could go for  elimination of Diff lock overide  being needed  -low end lag  is fine by me  just my :2cent:

i bet low end lag  makes moter/drive train last longer ?
