bought the bike used from a guy who knew about as much about them as my 6 year old daughter. he has 2 k&n filters on it, one in the box, and one replaced the lid, there is still the hole in the box for the breather too...
there is an aftermarket mufler on it, yoshimura. no idea on specs of it curently.
first problem, flames out the back end when full throttle.
second is the nock that sounds like its valves need adjusted, but are within spec spacing.

i looked at what i belive are the jets in the carb and the one inside the plastic cup says 124. one without it is marked 60. the last one is in a silver tube and has no number. when i bought it, the guy mentioned puting jets in it. now im told you have to match everything up, the jets, air filter, and muffler. i dont think he did. it was always a bit ruff running. replaced the spark plug just because it was coated the black stuff that i believe is a carbon build up.

can anyone tell me if the shiny screw in pieces i was looking at are indeed the jets, and if so, what the numbers mean. also whats the original numbers if so. looking to get it running right but missing a few things information wise so thought id start asking questions and giving info.

yup that sounds like the jet. they usually have slots in the top for a screwdriver and a hole down the center. the numbers are the size and sorry I have no idea what the stock ones are but right now it sounds like it is running way to rich so yer gonna wanna try going a bit leaner
