I've had a few and they're generally pretty good but a bit on the light duty side. After a couple half decent wipeouts they look like pretzles, ESPECIALLY kodiak frames, griz wheels, and front bumpers on both.

03 Kodiak auto, Damn near bulletproof. Fast enough.  Remember when these were the BIG machines in their day?

2001 Grizz. to  me this one is a really great machine.  I have rode this poor thing almost every day for the last 5 years. I hunt  alone on it and have complete trust in it getting me back to camp. I have only had to have the starter replaced once under warranty. its done everything I have asked it to do and then some. infact this next huntin season when I am at camp alone, I will be leaving the outty behind and taking the Grizz because of that trust I have with it.

Although not current, I had a 2002 Big Bear 400 4x4. That thing went through some nasty mud. I ran 27" 589s on it for awhile but they were a bit much IMO. It was a rock solid machine but it rode "rock solid" too. My body couldn't take the pounding so I went another route. Here's a pic of my old bear all decked out

I do remeber back in 1998 when I bought my Wolverine that it was considered by many to be one of the best "rec-ute" bikes around.  I remember thinking I can't believe this ting doesn't even have a speedo or hr meter.  No high/low selector basically nothing that almost all machines come with now a days.  There wasnt much larger than a 500cc engine in any machine back then.  I think maybe the Grizz had an engine around this size and also popo had a 500 magnum/sportsman if I remember correctly.  Thats a long time ago now.....especially for me....I think I was in grade 11...lol
