I did some searching, and I have some general information but nothing specific to what I need. I purchased a Yamaha Wolverine 450 4x4 last year. The dealer said it was jetted for 5000ft of elevation. I live in Denver (~5000ft) so it runs fine down here. It even runs pretty good up to 7000ft. Above that though, of course, it loses power and starts to sputter. I'm thinking about getting a Dial-a-jet to solve the problem of the range of altitudes I want to run, along with a K&N intake filter and a new muffler. I'm hoping that will lean out the motor enough that I won't have to rejet the carb. What do you think? Will it work or will I still need to drop a size or two on my main jet? Thanks.

if you never ride below 500 you can rejet and split the difference. every thing we have that uses jets is great from 0 to 4500 feet. seems like losing yer jetting within 2000 is awful quick we will have to see what some of the others have to say
