Well, im  almost ready to buy my 1st ATV. Im gonna be buying one by the end of february. Im have narrowed my choices down to either a king quad 450 or a grizzly 400. The cheapest i can get them for around here is 6,490 for the king quad and 5,890 for the grizzly. I like them both. The only thing i dont like about the king quad is it is a little bigger than what i want, but other than that i like everything about it. I havent seen a grizzly 400 yet but i know they are smaller than the king quad.

Are there any major problems with either one of them? Do you guys think it would be worth it to spend more for the KQ or should i save the couple hunderd dollars and buy some accessories? (helmet and winch probably)

Don't forget to check out the dealer!  I would go with the 450 King Quad myself but it is the dealer that makes or breaks your experience with your quad.  Crappy dealer and any problems you may have with the quad just gets worse if the dealer doesn't back his product.

Well, i have friends that are really good friends with the owners of the dealers that im gonna be doing business with so i think i can trust them both.

Im just debating weather i want to spend more money for a 450, locing differential, and EFI; or if i wanna save a little money so i can get a winch and a helmet.

Also, I have a trailor im gonna be able to use to haul it arund. But i was hoping that the ATV i get would fit in the back of my truck just in case something happens to the trailor. Im pretty sure the grizzly would fit in th back of my truck, but i dont think that the king quad would fit in the back of my truck.

Alright, I know this is a little stupid. But im gonna get a camo grizzly 350. went to a dealer and checked it out and sat on it and it is awesome. Not a huge motor but it was very comfortable. Im gonna learn how to ride on ym first bike then once im a little more comfortable im gonna get what i really want. Im getting the best deal i have found so far. The guy im buying it from knocked $350 off because i have a friend that buys a lot of stuff fomr the place where im getting it from. Im also hoping if i buy all my stuff from them then i might get a little bit better of a deal when i go back.

I was going to say get the KQ 450EFI, with EFI, locker, IRS, plenty of power, and overall great ride it will last you a long time. If you spend a little extra on it, that machine will cover all your needs for a long time.

But, get what feels good for you that is all that counts.
