My mates 06 660 Grizzly (does and always has ) breaks down whenever in water.. He has been told it's due to steaming off the exhaust etc & going into the air intake?? Do any of you Griz owners have a similar problem? If it's riden in water for a fair distance, it clears up.Which sorta supports the STEAM problem... Any ideas will be appreciated. I feel sad waiting for him at the end of the water crossing while he misfires his way through!!

Honda has the same problem on some of their machines. About all he can do is re-route the intake tube. I'm not sure on the spec's on where it is on the grizz, but I'm sure that there is someone else on here that will know more about it than me.

It is the steam vapor, mine was the same way. It is the design of the air intake, the vapor gets trapped for a few seconds in the gas tank cover area. It is a design issue.

There are a few snorkel kits I found but there ugly in my book.

By the way this was one of my biggest (annoying) issues with my old Grizz.

:omg:  This is wild, I never read this thread before today.

On Sat. a 700 grizz was towing out a 660 and asked us if we knew what might be wrong. He said he went into some water and it just died. Ended up killing the battery trying to restart it.

Sorry I didn't read Thur. post.
