I see last year AW went to WI for a fall ride. Any plans for this year? Or is anyone interseted in going there this year? I am trying to put together a ATV trip for this fall. Sometime in late Sept.

I also have a great place to ride in the U.P. of MI. There is at least 10,000acres and camping on a lake( no electric or sewer) they do have a free flowing well. The place is called Simmons Woods near a town caleed Gould City MI. My wife is from the area and our family owns a 1000 acres or so. We put on 300miles over the 4th and always see new things. Any interseted let me know we go up the about 4 times a year. here's us next to lake michigan

Some trails are some are not. The real technical ones get pretty narrow but I've been able to get through. I'm about 51" in the rear. (my PoPo is too LOL) The main trails that everybody rides aren't as much fun, but there's lots of em. I don't see a problem riding a sxs there....GOTT

Thats a huge jump in price. Hopefully it's going to rebuilding their bridges wider to accomodate wider ATVs and RUVs....I hear thats the reason that they still have the 48" rule and that they are going to work on them

I was wondering how much they charge to register a ATV in WI. Seems you are required to if you leave your machine there over 15 days at a time. If it was cheaper than buying a MN registration and then a WI trail permit, maybe I should start leaving my machine in WI (cough, cough, ahem)and just pay for the WI registration. The WI registration is good in MN as is....GOTT

Wis ATV registration is currently $30 for 2 years.

All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Trail Pass

Wisconsin law requires those who use Wisconsin ATV trails to display either Wisconsin registration or an ATV trail pass. Funds from this program will be designated for use as trail aids and related costs to enhance all Wisconsin ATV recreation. The trail pass may be purchased online at our Online Licensing Center, over the counter at any license sales location, or by phone at 1-877-945-4236.
  • The $35.00 non-resident ATV trail use pass is valid from July 1st through June 30th.
  • An ATV trail pass is required to operate an ATV.
  • The trail pass must be permanently affixed by its own adhesive in a highly visible location on the forward half of the ATV.
  • Once affixed, the sticker may not be removed or transferred to another ATV.

I believe it is for a full year. If you bought one after July 1, 2008, it is good through June 30, 2009.

Non-Resident Registration Options

All ATVs kept in Wisconsin for longer than 15 consecutive days are required to be registered in Wisconsin. Non-residents operating their ATVs in Wisconsin for less than 15 consecutive days must purchase an ATV Trail Pass 18.00) if not currently registered in Wisconsin. ATV Trail

Passes are available anywhere hunting and fishing licenses are sold or through the DNR website at https://www.wildlifelicense.com/wi/start.php .

Trail passes must be displayed in a highly visible location on the forward half of your ATV.

You must have one of the following to meet registration requirements while operating on these areas:

Use on Public Trails

valid ATV Trail Pass 18)

Wisconsin Public Use registration

Use on Frozen Waterways

Wisconsin Public Use registration

valid ATV Trail Pass

valid out of state ATV registration

Use on Private Property

Wisconsin Public Use registration

Wisconsin Private Use registration

valid ATV Trail Pass

valid out of state ATV registration

Special Attention for Illinois, Michigan
