http://www.atvnation.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=21824 There are currently about 50 people planning to attend/ride, including a group from Indiana. It's a family friendly ride. Several people are bringing kids. It is an open ride, not sponsored by ATV Nation. It's posted there because most of the people coming hang out there. If camping isn't your thing, Richards Hotel http://richardsindunbar.com/ is 10-12 miles away by trail. In keeping with tradition it was decided that the dates would remain the same and it will be held the weekend of August 20-24, 2008. Location: Marinette County (Northeastern Wisconsin) Dates: August 20-24, 2008 Lake Hilbert Campground http://www.lakehilbertcampground.com 1-715-336-3013 Starting August 20th we'll be at Lake Hilbert Campground-Fence, Wis (there is direct trail access to hundreds of miles of trails throughout Marinette and Florence counties and connections to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, "Da U.P.". Campground information is available at http://www.lakehilbertcampground.com (Reservations can be made over the phone, as they sometimes have email troubles). They offer a Fri night Fish Fry delivered to your campsite or cabin, breakfast on weekends and a variety of other foods. Lake Hilbert is within walking distance and offers a beach with a cool slide for swimming, picnic area and boat launch for some good fishin'. There is a small store that carries odds and ends for those "I forgot" type of items. All campsites are equipped with water and electric. When booking, be sure to mention that you are with "Muddychick's Group" so that you are placed in the same area as everyone. We leave each morning around 9am and return by 7pm. We do approx 100 miles a day with a few stops to chit chat (we usually ride for an hour and stop for 10-15 minutes), munch on snacks and snap photos. We plan on having several groups of varying speeds so that you can find a group to ride in that best suits your riding style and speed. There will be a few night rides and scenic stops (Marinette County is the waterfall capitol after all)! There is "Cow Bell Warning" at break stops to give a 2 minute warning to get the gear on and get ready to hit the trail. Bring a variety of riding clothing (Helmets to prevent getting rocks chucked up at you or brush in the face, Bandannas/Dust Masks, Rain Gear, Cold weather gear and something for warmer weather....this is Wis after all. You never know what type of weather we may have). If you like going at a different pace than the offered groups or don't like riding in large groups, maps will be available so that you can venture out on your own (just let us know which way you plan on heading so if you aren't back, we can head out and look for you). Terrain in the area varies from sand, rolling hills, winding trails, gravel logging roads, play areas with mud & sand hills, and lots of riding in the woods. There is nothing extremely technical that we will be encountering. Gas stops on the trail are minimal so it is highly recommended to bring spare fuel for each ride if possible. The nearest gas stations via trails from the campground are about 25 miles away. There is no fuel on site! For people coming from out of state who need to know the laws and sticker information, please visit: <a href="http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/caer/cs/Registrations/ATV.htm" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/caer/cs/Registrations/ATV.htm" target="_blank">http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/caer/cs/Registrations/ATV.htm</a></a> You can use the directory to the left to guide you through any questions that you may have including out of state trail passes (where to get them from and etc.). The biggest and most important thing is that you cannot have loud pipes (nothing over 96 decibels or you could be issued a ticket if stopped and checked). Wisconsin is trying to set better images of the sport in general and loud pipes hurt us all in that matter.

96 db sound limit in Wis. I copied and pasted this from another post. I'm not sure what the reference to RUV is. It might be side-by-sides. Wis calls them LUV's Light Utility Vehicles. Rangers, Rhinos, Mules, etc.
