The non XD's that I put on my 800 were 26.25 rear, and 26.25 front. The front is only the 8" wide. That is on 14" x 8" rear, and 14" x 6" front wheels. 6psi.

I hear those terracross are a great tire for all around use. Does anyone have any feed back on them? I was pricing a set for mine today. What's the cheapest price?

I got $ 550 us for all 4, is that good?

I have owned them all and the Horns are By far the best trail tire for ride comfort and durability....

The Terra's are awsome.  I am not sure of the price difference, but the bighorns seem to be more popular.  My next set will be the Bighorn 2.0's, the only reason I am switching, is for a change, and the rear 26x11x14 is around 6lbs lighter than the brand new Terracross XD in the same size.  My front 26x8x14 is actually lighter than the front 2.0's by 2lbs each.  The reg. bighorns seem to wear the same, weigh the same, and have all the same posative and negative attributes as the Terra's.  It probably comes down to price, or preference from owning the tire previously, and liking it.   If the 2.0's were not lighter, I would never switch.  My Terra's are worn down to about the same lug size as the new 2.0's, and I love it for powersliding, and you can feel the weight savings.

I should mention that if I was using a 12" rim, I would get the 25" Bighorns, but the 26 "Terras seem better on the 14" rim than the reg. Bighorns.

They are both good tires..it's personal preference.... plus, I have heard some horns have up to 3000 to 4000 miles on them...

I have been looking at Bighorns and Terracross also. I have been reading that the Terracross has a better sidewall(stronger). I have Bighorns now that I think the world of,but they are 12". I need 14" for the 850. Is it really personal preference? The bighorns are actually quite a bit cheaper. Do the Terra's do well in the snow.

Have also thought about the bighorn 2.0, but not real happy hearing that they are shorter. Same thing I don't like about the Terracross. I want a true 26" tire.

IMO... stick with the Horns....you can get them in the 14 inch size, I think.... plus they wear SOOOO much better and last longer..... You will not see any advantage in snow with the Terras vs. the Horns...
