Does anyone have any information about these tires yet?  I am thinking about putting a set on my Renegade.  Prime

I just saw this.  I have been running a set of 26" Mud Bug R's on my stock 12" rims for about a year now.  I have about 300 miles on them.  If you want some details, send me a PM.

A friend has these and likes them for trails.
Aux why not post some details for everyone to read?

I wrote up this little review on another site July of '07

"I have had a set of Mud Bug R's on my Outty 800 XT for a few weeks now.  I have one really good ride on them, and I am very happy with my purchase.  I wanted a tire that was close in weight to the stock ACT's (the Mud Bug R's are actually LIGHTER), was a radial, and offered a deeper lug.  I have owned Mud Runners, Vampires, and Gators, and ridden with almost every tire out there.

The Mud Bug R's have a great ride, handle well, did not give me any wandering or shaking at 60MPH + on hard packed gravel, and pulled through some thicker mud in 2WD that other folks were having difficulty with in 4WD and stock Polaris PXT's.  Will they mud like my Vamps?  No, but I think they would hold there own, and I would say they are pretty close to the Mud Runners and the Gators.  It is tough to make that call, as those tires were on my old machine though.  I was not looking for a pure mud tire, and I am not into that much anymore, I was just looking for something to perform  better than the stock ACT's when the occasional mud hole does appear on the trail, and give me a bit more flotation.  They do that and more.  The only bad side to these tires is the "lug slap" at lower speeds, which is to be expected from a 1" lug, and the slight vibration over 15 MPH for the same reason.  All the other taller lug tires have done the same, even more so, so it was not unexpected.  They do seem a little bit short on height as well - I measured 25 1/2" with 6psi in front, and 5psi in back.  I just eyeballed the height against my tape measure though, so I could be off.  The Mud Bug R's are taller than the ACT's that were on the machine though, and they were supposed to be 26" as well.

And I agree with above about the looks in person.  I ordered these tires just based on the picture, and was not sure if they would be an improvement or not.  After getting them and seeing them in person, they look MUCH better and more aggressive in person.  They look great on the machine.  And on a side note, my dealer gave me a heck of a deal, and bought my stock tires to boot, so I did not pay much for a very good upgrade."

Now, almost a year later and a few more rides and miles, I still really like the tires.  The lug slap I talked about has pretty much gone away now that they have some use on them, and the minor vibration I talked about above 15MPH is hardly noticable.  I have been enjoying the power of the 800 in 2WD, so the rears are showing more wear than the fronts, but other than that, they seem to be holding up.  Like I stated above, they are definitely NOT a true mud tire, but are a nice improvement over the stock ACT's.

And to icanamcanyou, I apologize for not paying attention last August when you had asked me for a review on another thread once I had some miles on them.  I missed that somehow, otherwise I would have posted this last year for you.
