I like the ride and the good all around traction that my stock Carlisle A.C.T's give me.  They also wear very well.  I have 2600 (HARD) miles on the ones on my 800 Max XT and they are still showing 50% tread left....1600 miles on the ones on my 500 Max XT and they are showing 75% tread left.

What I don't like about them is their soft sidewalls and they're kinda prone to punctures.  Other than that I think they are a great tire.

SO....if your like me, and want to keep all the good riding characteristics of the A.C.T's and get a much tougher tire at the same time....Carlisle just came out with the A.C.T HD series ATV tire.

The A.C.T HD has a true 6ply rating, MUCH stiffer sidewalls and the same 1" tread pattern as the A.C.T XL/R's.  They are not overly heavy and are resonably priced.

For me, this new A.C.T HD tire has swayed me away from the Bighorns when it's time to replace my stock A.C.T's.  I'm NOT knocking the horns at all, they are an awesome tire.  This is just my opinion.

I wonder if the 26 inchers would fit without spacers.

I know my stock 26" ACT's measures only 24.5" and my 25"rs run 23.5".  I think that the ACT HD's being a stiffer sidewall would sit more true to height...at least i hope they do.
