I always wear the cheap cloth gloves that are dipped in rubber.

Bass pro shops. Get the Carhartt leather gloves they sell. Usually by Cahartt clothing. Your hands will stay dry, you can though them in the washing machine and they still stay plyable. Best of all they will not stain your hands when they do get wet.
