Well it is that time of year again, I can feel it in the air.

Lets hear what you are after and maybe where you are going without giving up your secret location.

Sad but I am up Alaska and not a resident, mix in a new job and I will not be making it out hunting any time soon.  I might make it back to MN for white tail season though.

Good luck to you all.

Well duck season opened on Sept 20 so we went out camping all weekend and hunted a small beaver pond in the bush. Generator for lights and the I-pod running off the renegade onto the radio. Ended up with 14 ducks and 2 grouse. No pics this year of the total kill, we ate em all, but here is one from last year. Just waiting for deer season now!

These are from this year

Just got back from our Moose hunt.  We where hunting in Northern Maine, S.E. of Long Lake.  We left home on Saturday and setup camp on Irving land and scouted the area Sat. afternoon and Sunday.   In all we saw 11 Moose(5 bulls and 6 cows). We also saw 3 Bear, 6 Deer, 10 Partridge, 2 young Eagles, and a couple of Rabbits. We shot this small Bull Tuesday mornig at 08:30.  He was shot with a 30-06, approx. range was 266 yards down hill. One shot thru the neck.  We used a 500 Polaris Sportsman to retrieve the Moose to the woods road.  Worked great.  Moose weighed in at 596lbs. A 3 year old---good eating.:ban:  Here are some Pics.

Well the Minnesota rifle season is over.  Anyone got anything to show for it?  I missed the season again:cry:   My dad shot a 10 pointer, not too wide but it was good for him.

Sorry about that, as you can see I am not in MN so I just go by my family's area dates.  Good luck to all the guys that have some hunting time left.

Well we did not get alot compared to last year (6). We got two small bucks and a doe this year. I just got back on my feet from a knee operation and only got out for three days. I saw three moose but no deer. Better luck next year I guess.

Nice buck Chilty, I'd kill a deer for a deer like that. Seems there are a few of them around here like that, but I have never got a shot at a real nice one, just little 6 pointers.

this huntin season we moved to a new area LOL well new area in the same old area. basically we moved base camp. after all set up and a week in we had some real strong winds. blew over a small pine tree. which is cool but it landed 20 feet from my brothers tent. woulda smashed em but good. the next real strong wind that came up everyone noticed the dead tree that was behind my RV. it was leaning in my direction and was blowing around A LOT. made all the guys nervous and they slept in their trucks out in the clearing that night... they were all worried it would fall on them LOLOL bunch of WIMPs ... I stayed in my RV but needless to say before next year gets here we will be dropping that dead sucker lol
