Ok you snowmo people... educate a rookie winter rider, how do you keep the inside of your helmets from fogging up?  I figure the snowmobling public has been doing it for years, they must know alot of tricks... Thanks for the replys...

buy a winter snowmobile helmet ....  OR some Fog-X, no fog or any of the others anti fog sprays ... divers spit in their masks and rinse it out might work in a pinch eh :)

One option to wire in a heated face shield. That will work the best, however it will be the most expensive. What I have found to work the best is a face mask that deflects your breath down away from your shield. I couldn't find a link to the company site, but they are "no fog" breath deflectors. They have a few different versions, but this pic should give you the idea.

Have to agree with zac.
This is the No Fog deflector
The breath deflectors work pretty good but the heated shield is best when really cold. You can buy them around $70 and up.
I have found the anti fog wipes and sprays are marginal at best Oh and probably most important is to make sure you have a double lense shield

I have had no luck at all with the anti fog wipes and spray.

If you really want to be fog free get a heated shield and be done with it.

I've tried the no fog sprays and wipes, breath deflectors/masks, old wives tales and other concoctions and will never buy another snowmobile helmet if I can't get a heated shield for it. They ain't cheap but at least I can breathe and see without fogging. :thumb2:

I have both, the heated shield works good, but if you don't want to spend the money none heated works just as good usually. Like the rest have said get a breath deflector and if your helmet has vents, open them. If you stop lift your shield until you get going again. If these don't work get an open face with some goggles.
