LaMigra, did you use the mounting hardware that was provided with them? Several of us have found that the allen bolts that are used to mount them have become beat up and are rather difficult to remove without stripping. I have since replaced them with hex head bolts.

Hey Zac,

Yes, I did use all the mounting hardware that came with the skids, and knock on wood everything is holding up even the bolts. Now Back2sportsman, had to saw off his bolt heads since they rounded out, and were damaged. If mind become that bad, I will replace them with the hex head bolts, and may find a way to recess them. That seems to be the biggest complaint about these skids.

Thanks guys glad you enjoyed the review.

Vowman, I am trying to put something together on tires and wheels, but that is huge job. I am trying to figure something out. I do want to do an indepth review about the differences between 12" and 14" wheels. Back2 has the 14" wheels, and we are going to try and put something together.

Excellent review....

I followed the recommendations from the Manufacturer......They advised to put never sieze on the threads of the bolts...I did this and none have come loose in 1600 kilometers of riding.  I too have bashed in bolts and cannot get my Allen Wrench into the button.....But I tried a small vise grip Plier and no problem backing the bolts out.
