I know a lot of guys appreciate you for this. You have the means to get all these machines and let everyone know about them. You are very valuable to the atv chat rooms. I've been reading your posts a long time (many months). You helped me choose my last 2 or 3 atv's in the past. I have no doubt that this will be the case in the future. When I get ready to buy, I always look at your posts. I guess you've become kind of famous to me and I don't even know you! But I would like to thank you for your help even though you didn't know about it. It's good that these chat rooms allow guests who just google subjects to read this info. This is how I got to read your posts without even being a member.

atvmodster wrote: So far the machine that i had with the most noises was my outty. Next would be a tie between my tcat and 650 kawi. Grizzly vibrated but was pretty quiet. The outty had lots of noises that i just couldnt figure out. Valve adjustment did not fix it and some new clutch work did no fix it. My tcat makes some noise coming from the cvt at low speeds so i took the clutch cover off and had my tcat on the atv lift and started looking for the noise. In nuetral it is very quiet when you rev it up. In gear it has noise coming from either the secondary clutch or in behind it. I then took the 4 bolts out of the drive shaft in the back and tried it again in gear and then there was zero noise. The noise i get from the secondary seems to be a little feed back from the rear drive shaft or rear diff or somthing. It sounds like its coming up the drive line to the secondary clutch or behind it. Its not really that noticable at all when driving but with the cover off and tires off the ground you can hear it more. Even with this bit of noise i get a low speed its still 50% quieter then my outty was.

I think I am just use to the CVT sounds, that wine that they all seem to make anyway, it is louder on some than others. That odd noise that the Cat makes was cause for concern for me as well, even my cat dealer seemed to think it was a odd sound, so they took mine apart and found nothing wrong, so they called the factory and it would seem that it is normal for the TC, provided you are hereing the same noise we are. The Polairis noise that makes mecrazy is the clangy sound they make when they get a few miles on them, I chased down some of the raddles to the heat shieds vibrating loose and ressonating, the otheres seems to be in the cvt somewhere.

I wonder how long it will be till we see an ecu for the t-cat. I'm really looking forward to it. It's hard waiting but I know it may take a year or so. You can do so much to a bike when you have a higher rev limit.

Well it's official. The dealer show declared that the 09 T-Cats have no rev limiters. Put 3.6's in the 09's and you have an absolute monster. The factory may have switched the gears already but I haven't found out yet. I'm trying to figure out how to get this ecu into my 08. The 800R's want even stand a chance to the T-Cat now!!!

Cant wait for the new cdi for the tcat. One of the engineers was talken to a guy on arctic chat and they said the tcat 950 vtwin has the potential to put out much more power. They will keep uping it as they have to. The new cdi programming should put it back up in front of the 09 can-am. Will have to wait and see i guess. cc1999 should have some good reviews!

Another guy on arctic chat who is a dealer is gonna work on retrofitting the 09 cdi's to the 08's. You put this with your 3.6's and you will have your top end back plus the extra power of having more rpm's.

I spoke with my dealer Friday, he had just got back from the dealer meeting. He is looking into the 09' ECM for me, its not in the parts program yet. It just says 09' parts list coming soon. He said he would make some calls and try and get me fixed up. I asked him about the 3.6s again, and he showed me the list price, and he was taking a ton of money off for me, he said his cost was more than those ones you guys were talking about the other day for 925. You guys did say to use the H1's 3.6 diffs right? I think they are going to run me 1200, and he thought the ECMs were around 400.00 but he was going to find out for sure what the part number and price was on the ECm and let me know. I going to ATV jam in a few weeks where there will be a sled pull and drag races, I really hope to be able to have it all put together by then.

I will post what ever I find out here on this thread.

If I can get the ECM, then I should have the part number on my invoice, I post that part number  as well as the cost.
