I have been seeing a lot of chatter about some company or more than one company is working on builds that are taking the 650 and 700H1's cylinders and adapting them to the T-cat's v-twin, making some really big power so they say anyway. I am still trying to dig up more info about it.

Wowsers...I would say thats a bit of overkill, but then, I would also want to see something like that in action! Keep us informed on what the deal is with this one CC.. could be vewy intresting. How do you think the drive system would hold up with that kinda mod?

Power output numbers being thrown around on other forums is that the 2 1400cc machines, that are said to be built and running, are making around 100 horse, Thats about like a 50 shot on an Outy 800(double the hp) . I had 90hp out of an Outy with Nos on the dyno anyway, I blew it up 3rd time I sprayed on the strip. LOL, but it was very ridable, just have to hang on tight. :tg:

Thats awesome, I would love to see it, I have been telling folks for years that a utility quad with around 85-90 horse would be perfect!

It wouldn't be worth my while for the 1200, but the 1400 is a totally different matter. Let us know whatever you find out...

CC, I assume the stroke would be the same as the current 950 and only the bore would change to fit the 700 pistons? This would require new heads as well, would it not. Do you know if the ones supposedly built already incorporate hemi-heads or not?

Not sure on the details, engine needs to jump in here and explain what these guys are doing, one groupe says its 700 heads and pistons and the stock stroke making it a 11??cc's and another guy keeps claiming that no its a true 1400cc's. So a lot is unclear at this point as to what is going on with these builds.

So far so good, I have not had a chance to ride mine much lately. I hope to get it out on some trails this weekend. I got some decent rides planned for later this month, and I am sure there will be several trips to Colorado later in the summer that should rack up some hours and miles on it.

I hope to test the new 26" bighorns and 4+3 offset type 7s this weekend. I am expecting imroved comfort and stabilty with the new tires and rim offsets.

The more i think about it the more i think that the leaky gasgets is just a bad run from the assembly line. All the guys that bought them off the start are having zero problems with leaks. One thing i recommend to tcat owners is to seal and put high temp tape over top of the plug on the stator cover. This will work until cat comes out with a new stator cover. The black rubber plug helps keep the red seal inplace that is underneith it.
