If you want to make sure your the fastest to 300 feet then get the 3.6 diffs. I tell ya i miss going over 80 mph thow! I think during the summer i might put my other diffs in forwhile. With the 3.6s and stock rubber I was gps'd at around 71 mph and was hitting my speed limiter because the ecm thinks is going 82 mph.

One other thing to keep in mind is that when you put 3.6 gears in i dont THINK that the stock clutching is set up for these gears. Im not pro on clutches but i think that i could get much more out of my tcat if the shift rate of my clutch was adjusted for my 3.6 gears(weights, springs, etc). For example with stock gears i could pull wheelies at speeds above 10 mph and with the 3.6 gears it wheelies very easy from a dead stop or rolling but will not come up after 10 mph.

Last fall at Walburg they tried to get some lights for the drags, but the rental company wanted 2 arms and a leg. Maybe they will have them this yr.

At the fall rally it rained, so they cancelled the drags. I remember a lowered YFZ with drag pipes and only god knows what else showed up and he was mad and wanted 2 race still and all the 4x4s killed him because of the condtions.

Modster you should have no problem with anyone at the drags espically with the 3.6s.

They got the start lights and the time sensors already. They set them up already to. I could hear piped quads playing there from my house the other day.

steveo10 I will be showing up with my stock rubber on for the drags. I hope I do well! Parts canada is sponsoring the rally this year so there should be some excellent prizes i hope! The weekend before are rally is makwa's. They are having a draw and you can choose from an outty 800 or an honda rincon 680. I definatly would go with the rincon! hahaha...............................Kidding

steveo10 how do you like your 26 inch xtrs? I am considering putting them on my stock rims for normal driving. Are they very heavy?

Actually i have never measured the tires before. Ill try to get a measure for ya. They are a little bit more heavier than most tires, but i found they dont wear out as fast as most tires do. So yes, i like the XTRs

I got my new seat yesterday, and I thought I would pass on the part numbers incase anyone is looking to upgrade, to the softer thicker seats used on the other AC machines. The Ride-in seating BS, was pretty much nothing more, than AC took the foam out of the seat to lower the rider position. The T-cat seats will not interchange direclty with the other models, you have to buy the base pan for the TC, then the other materials for the 650 H1.

It all fit together perfectly, and is much softer. Its also seems to have made it a bit easier to set farther forward for drag racing.

Here are the AC part numbers we used to make it.

2406-525 TCat Base $29.95
1506-209 650 H1 cover $48.95
1506-208 650 H1 Foam $48.95
1506-156 latch for seat $12.49
1406-592 spring latch $ 0.54

Total for the parts to make up a complete new 650 H1 seat with a T-cat base $ 140.88

My dealer charged me $30.00 to put it together, so for everthing ready to go with tax I spent $183.35

I had a great post for this thread all lined up and decided to take the high road and not stir things up. It was hard to get up there, the high road that is, being that my outty has less ground clearance and the visco doesn't work well, but I made it. So I won't stir anything up..

When i had 26 inch mud bugs on my outty I had to air the front tires up to about 7 lbs to get 12 inches of ground clearence. That was with the rear shock setup in the front on the stiffest setting. The rear shock setup on the front makes the outty even more of a wheelie machine. NOt sure why but it made a big difference on mine and my buddies outty. I THINK maybe just because the front is up that much higher but im not sure on that.....

I had more dyno testing done today. This time the Cat had Dyno tires, wich gets rid of the drum slipage from the knobys I was having to use last time. I also had a chace to get some testing done ont he Diamond G Outy I bought of DG racing.

They tested out virtually identical. both were making 54hp and 42 pounds of TQ. On this special  Outy, the DG head work, cams and HMF pipe was worth a 20% gain over stock. I will admit I was not able to test this exact Outy stock, but when I have seen, using the same dyno with the same dyno tires, 5 different BRP 800's, all make 44hp bone stock or within mere 10th or 100th of each other. I have no reason to believe this one would have read any different. In the case of the T-cat all it had was a Black magic pipe added, that has proven to be worth about a 10% gain. Stock vs Stock there is a 10% advantage to the T-cat.

On another note, I regretably, have to somewhat recant some of the praise I have given the woods exhaust sytems in the past, Now that I have had a chance to make several dyno runs with my original Outy 800 and the RW exhaust, I must admit to be a little baffeled, but numbers don't lie. I originally had a HMF pipe on this particular Outy just like my other one, both machines were setup identical, HMF slip on pipe and no TFI, sock air filter, tested @ 49hp, they both tested within 10ths of each other, when they were set up with HMFs. I had the woods full exhast system installed several months ago but there were issues getting it full tested, so put it back on the machine fully expecting better results today, they were a little better than the first time that only put up 46hp, today it was 47hp and 32 pounds of TQ. Now the machines I have used the Woods pipe on before, I also used the woods intake with it. The Renegade I had I used both the RW intake and Exhaust and it made 51hp. After testing all sorts of differnt things like filter lids, even no lid, only to show 0 gains some cases a loss, I was almost sure, not using the RW intake would have had little effect. Turns out that RW intake must have actually been making a differnce after all. Anyway bottom line, I am now officialy ony recomending the HMF or wyleco slip on pipe. For the money and gains I have now confirmed today, the HMF is by far th
