Well, you darn sure better count me in!  The stork made a visit this evening and delivered a new 625# (dry weight) bouncing baby boy 800 Outlander.  He really has a jaundiced look at first glance, but the doc says that is normal and I should get used to it with time. (Some people have ask whether he is an “Inny” or an “Outy”.  This big boy is definitely an OUTY!)

:clp:

I took him for a little walk immediately after delivery and he is already walking on his back 2 feet!  In fact, I had a difficult time trying to keep him down on all four.  At first I felt like scolding him for doing this so quickly, but then I realized that it took over a year and about $1,500 for his older brother (An '03 650 PRAIRIE) to get at this stage.  So, I guess I’ll just encourage this behavior and be thankful for it.  He really wanted to go play in the mud, but I refused to allow this behavior until his mother had a good look at him.  (She was a little unsure about having another child so quickly, but seems to be taking it all in stride.)

I suppose that this sounds a little superficial, but about the only thing I am unhappy about is the sound of his voice.  I have already found a good surgeon (HMF) who promises to have just the ticket to deepen his voice and allow him to breathe a lot easier.  Also, I already have some new “bling” and undergarments on the way to “toughin” him up a bit.

Well, that’s all for now.  The responsibilities of being a new father are quite daunting and I have a bunch of reading to do tonight to learn more about his inner workings and how to “train” him responsibly and get ready for our first outing on Sunday.   I’ll probably be spending the night with him tonight to make sure he is happy with his new surroundings.

The wife does all of the Digital photos of our camping trips,I usually use a disposable camera for our ATV trips.I have photo albums of all of our trips,I am like a pack rat I don't get rid of anything! I will have her take some pix & put them on the site. Now would be a good time it us clean. I had to pull my gas tank due to the cord on a water absorbing product wrapped itself around my float arm and when I pulled it out it popped the float arm off. I would like to do a dyno run before & after the Dobeck TFI & HMF swap, but it is all a timing thing(lack there of)! There is a small business not to far from home I have used once before on another ATV,I was there because of a mutual friend who is as busy as I am.That makes it difficult to make it happen! But I will try to arrange it!

Well I guess I better check in, I've probably owned my 800xt longer than most people here.  I have one of the first production runs.  Happened to walk in the day my dealer recieved his only one back in July and bought it that day.  Had never even heard about the 800 before that week and did not know they were even out, got lucky I guess.  i've since added skid plates, hand warmers, throttle warmer.  Running strong with no problems except the battery falling out the first trip.

Wildcard, I think Scott's Yellow XT 800 is sold ( I posted it most of the sites, it was sold on Highlifter's site) to a guy close by.

Keep you posted on his special 85 hp. GNCC racer for next year.( Dying to know what mods Bomb did to it)
