Why does it seem that UTVs are the red headed step children of the off road community? Kawasaki comes out with it's Teryx that basically has the same engine as the '08 Brute Force SANS FUEL INJECTION! Does the '09 Teryx have EFI? You just know that there are people out there waiting for the next model year so they can get fuel injection. Polaris has just come out with their RZR "S" model that for all intents and purposes looks pretty sweet EXCEPT FOR THE SAME OLD 760cc LIBERTY ENGINE. Granted it got a few extra ponies this year, but what about the "true" 850cc engine in the XP Sportsman? 70 horsepower and roller clutches are the order of the day when it comes to ATVs, tired old tech when it comes to UTVs. Polaris must realize that UTVs are the fastest growing sector of the off road market place. That would pretty much be my dream UTV. A Polaris RZR S with the 850 motor and roller clutch. The sky would be the limit for that machine. At least they got it right when it comes to tires (Maxxis Bighorns).

Teryx is fuel injected for 09. The 09 Rzr has the 800HO engine.

Polaris really stepped it up with the 09 S model, thats a heck of sweet machine. I do believe only the S model has the HO motor. I got to see an RZR S model in person the other day, its just an awesome looking side by side. The suspension and ground clearance are much better, on the S models than the RZR I had. My dealer said he was alocated 4 RZR S models for the year, and they were all already spoken for.

The S is sweet if you don't ride trails.....too wide for most around here. I'm at 54" with my wheels and it's tight sometimes. Might be going 2" wider too if I install my lift kit. Still be 4 1/2" narrower that the S.

So outlandish , now that you've had your RZR SxS for awhile, do you like it better than a "quad"?

Better? No and Yes. I miss the technical riding and I'll tell ya, being strapped in that thing and doing off cambers and climbs gives ya a real pucker knowing if the machine goes over I'm going with it. It is pretty darn stable but it's just a helpless feeling I get. Used to be ready to bail off in those situations and now I can't. On the other hand being backed into a corner like I am, I'm glad there is something like it so I can still ride. It's a lot of fun taking Killswitch or anyone else riding. A lot better than bumping helmets on a 2 up wheeler. It's easier to talk, more comfortable etc....If width is of no concern, then I think it is better than a 2 up quad for riding double
