Hi all, just spent some time camping and put 150 miles on my new 700 X2. I really like it, I think it has a better ride and a little more clearance tahm my 2006 400 Outlander Max I sold to get this. Not to mention alot more power (700 vs 400) and the EFI is great and will come in handy during hunting season.

Anyway, what's the deal with the work lights? I thought maybe the clear part of the taillight was a reverse light, then got looking closely and saw there was no bulbs in there. The manual mentions the work lights, but doesn't really describe much about them. So should the bulbs be there? If installed are they put on a seperate switch?

I'm taking it back to my dealer for it's 10 hour inspection and want to get them done up then.

Thanks.

P.S. does Polaris make a rear bumper for this thing?

Yes they do make a rear bumper and yes the lights in the clear plastic are work lights. Is there not a work light switch?

I can't seem to find a bumper that will fit, I've only seen a rear bumper for the standard Sportsman, not the X2 with the dump box.

I have no worklight switch, and the bulb sockets at the back are empty. Did the dealer miss this?

Rear bumpers just came out for the X2s a couple weeks ago. I have one on order for mine, but they called last week and told me its not expected to ship till the end of august.

As for the work lights, I don't know why they stopped putting them on there, I just know they did, and you would need to get the bulbs and a switch to wire them up , but yes they can be added, A lot of people do it.

Ok, I did some more research and found out the wiring is in place for the worklights, but I have to add the bulbs and the switch. I will get this done when I take the bike in for it's 10 hour this week.

As for the rear bumper, I ordered an aftermarket one from ATV-guru.com, just wanted something to save the box incase I back into something.

Thanks for all the replies.

Bob

Goofy that they did not spend the freaking 10 bucks to include the bulbs and switch. They advertise rear work light. MfG's are getting cheaper by the day while increasing MSRP by the minute.

Ya I know, they use to come in handy on my 05' Sp800, I think I will add them to the X2 next time mine is the shop as well.
